About

Hello, I’m Justin

I run JMD Entertainments from Glasgow and work with couples and hosts right across Scotland. My job is to take the music off your list of worries.

My approach

Personal, prepared and easy to work with

I'd rather be the DJ you barely have to think about. That means answering messages properly, arriving early, and setting up without turning your venue into a building site.

Before your day we'll talk through the songs that matter, the ones that definitely don't, and how you want the evening to run. On the night I read the room rather than work through a script.

Most of my work is around Glasgow and central Scotland, though I'm happy to travel further when the timings allow — the planning simply starts a little earlier.

How I work

Four things I never rush

The parts of the job that happen long before anyone hears a track.

Understanding you first

Before any music is chosen we talk about your day, your guests and the kind of night you actually want.

Music prepared in advance

Your first dance, must-plays and do-not-plays are all set before the day, so nothing is left to chance.

Professional presentation

Smart, calm and quietly organised — a tidy set-up that suits the room rather than dominating it.

Friendly planning support

Straight answers to your messages and a planner you can add to whenever it suits you.

The experience

What working with JMD feels like

  • You get replies from me, not a call centre.
  • Nothing is upsold — if a smaller package suits you, I'll say so.
  • Your venue and coordinator know the plan before the day.
  • The dancefloor builds naturally instead of being forced.
  • Announcements are clear and brief, never a performance.
  • Set-up and pack-down happen quietly around your guests.

Fancy a chat about your day?

Send your date and venue and I’ll reply personally — no pressure either way.
